Hi Alexandra,

Yes, I use the CDs, but prefer the tapes actually for ease of use. The audio program is the largest I've ever seen for a business English book, and yes, it is integral in my opinion since it is a major proportion of each lesson. Note tho, that I am one of the authors of this book, so feel free to disagree/comment further. My co-author and I worked very hard to ensure that the language is natural, but you are the judge!! --Emily

Thanks for taking the time to give me the details! Do you use the CD's? Are they necessary? Do you find the language natural and useful?

Ooh, well, I'm glad you are one of the co-authors, because I can tell you what I've been looking for in a Business text and haven't been able to find! Maybe for your next book!!!

I want a book that uses interesting business articles, letters, brochures, and the like, real or imagined, as a starting point to lead into discussion questions, comprehension questions, writing assignments, vocabulary excercises...even grammar! In other words, I want something that can be used as the main classroom text, but with a business focus.

If you can get ahold of Berlitz' "Doing Business", you'll see what I mean. I would love to use it, but I don't want to get sued! (I'm not a Berlitz teacher.) I also like "Business Matters", but the units are too long and it uses British English.

I will try to get a look at your book in person the next time I am in the States, but from your description it sounds a little bit too basic for my students. Do you know if they'll be selling it at Alta in SF any time soon? I always like to browse before I buy!
