English minute taking skills

I have been teaching English here in the Netherlands for 5 years. My students are all adults and 95% need to improve their English to enable them to communicate more effectively at work. I do a lot of individual teaching, and some in company courses with small groups.

I have been asked by one company if it is possible to teach minute taking skills in English to a group of Dutch secretaries. At the moment they use a standard course that teaches how to take minutes, but it is in Dutch. Since the company language is officially English this presents problems.

I believe the Dutch course relies heavily on audio tapes and video material....the students have to watch or listen to a 'meeting', make notes then compile minutes. Their work is then gone through in the following class.

Has anyone tried doing this sort of thing in English, and does anyone have any ideas where I might find some material?

thanks

Jillie
