Hi all!

I have fallen in love with Berlin and have been trying to find work there for september 2005 but any job postings I have found are very specific about the need for business English. I have a year's experience in teaching various levels and ages but not business should I be looking at doing an extra add on course in business- if so what courses are widely recognised. Or if it is not needed where can I find a decently paid job in Berlin?

Danny, you don't need an extra qualification, but hopefully you do have a recognised qualification for teaching. That will make your search a lot easier. Do you have experience working in business? That will also count.
Teaching in Germany isn't easy. Anywhere that will pay you decently will demand a certain level of experience and qualifications. The business English angle is just because that is what is in demand and what gets paid for here.

Hey,
I am also looking for work in Berlin, and have been considering going to a language school to get a TEFL certificate. Most say they will help find work once you finish, but I am concerned about the cost, and then the actual possibility that they will find you a job.
Have you considered the Berlin School of English or Via Lingua? These are two of the three I'm looking at, just can't remember the third.
