is it o.k. to copy articles from a newspaper or print a page from a news website if you are only using it as an educational tool? this if for a school in the EU.

Hmm. I don't know if it's "okay" or not, but it's done all the time. At least put the source on the paper.

Copyright in education is an interesting issue. In all the schools I have worked in, I have seen a lot blatant copyright infringement and a lot of innocent violation. You are not allowed legally to exhibit movies in the classroom because of copyright, but there are curricula built around it and it is a common practice all over the world.
