Which would be the most aprropriate?:

- A song by Radiohead.
- A song from Radiohead.

- Quotations by Joyce.
- Quotations from Joyce.

- A lesson/ class from my teacher.
- A lesson/ class by my teacher.

- A speech from the headmaster.
- A speech by the headmaster.

I would tend to say
a song by Radiohead OR from Radiohead`'s new album____
a quotation by Joyce OR from Joyce's "Ulysses"
a speech by the headmaster

The fourth sentence sounds weird no matter which way you say it, unless you are taking a class by distance education and receive lessons FROM your teacher via e-mail.
