GYAKUGIRE
Literally 'reverse anger'. The person who has
ample reason to be scolded throws back the
anger to the counterpart. This phenomenon
or behavior.
Is there any similar colloquial expression
in English?

backfire refers to a gun that explodes backwards towards the shooter. However it is most commonly used for when a car makes a loud BANG! out of its tailpipe and for when you have a plan that ends up going all wrong and hurting you!

for the term you described, I can't think of a word that would carry that meaning. The only thing I can think of is "taking your anger out on" someone. If you are mad then you go hit a wall or yell at the next person you come upon, you are taking your anger out on he, she or it.
