assurance

Post by Itasan » Fri Dec 23, 2005 2:12 am

I wonder if this understanding is correct.
1. insurance - covers illness, death, property
damage/loss both in BrE and AmE.
2. assurance - covers illness and/or death in
BrE: American equivalent = life insurance
Also, how about the assurer/insurer and
the assured/insured?
Thank you.
