Hi All

I just want to share with you what I think is a great free resource. If you knew about this already then why didn't you tell me!!
It has streaming videos if you have access to the internet in your class.
If you don't then you can download some audio files and the scripts in PDF (or even cut and paste a lot of them from the web page) Very interesting topics.

Oh and if you are teaching in China like me then don't forget the related link at the bottom of the right hand column

http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learningenglish/

Enjoy it!

We do mention these things occassionally... :)

For the other obvious ESL Websites, check out http://www.jamesabela.co.uk/ I've got links to most of the good ones including the BBC's learning English site...

Hi Genosha,

You're right, the BBC is a great resource. Have you seen this http://www.bbc.co.uk/worldservice/learn ... ndex.shtml ? It's an aid for pronunciation, including listening and IPA phonetic symbols.

For those in China

Thanks eslweb and strider

Certainly thanks to Strider, that pronounciation section is quite useful. Here in China students place great importance on getting their pronounciation right.

Also, after further exploration I discovered a Chinese website. So for those of you teaching in China I have found my students enjoy using www.bbcchina.com.cn
