Hi Folks,
Lately, I have gotten several inquiries about teaching online and am thinking about writing an update. I had a PPT about it, but I lost the audio at some point, I and am considering using a different format to do the update - maybe a little video that you can view with the Windows Media Player. If I do that, I should probably just write it up in text, too.
Most people are asking about how to get started and which companies to contact. One note about that... A lot depends on your education, expereince, and comfort with technology.
Although I am willing to share my expereince, I do not feel comfortable mentioning names of companies in an open forum. I was once asked if I am a recruiter for a company - I am not - but I think that sharing my real experience is valuable, and mentioning names is useful for people who want to get started teaching online.
For those of you who are interested in an update, please email me or leave a post on this forum and I will send you what I come up with. If you have specific questions, please include those as it will help me cover all the bases. I am very busy these days, so if I forget to send you the update, please follow up with a reminder.
Good luck all,
Kathy

Hi Kathy, My name is Shane and I'm really interested in the possibilities of teaching online. I've tried giving a few free classes but had a lot of technical problems. I've also tried out a few companies that are doing this at the moment with my own students here in Spain. Please keep me posted on anything related to this field with your updates. Shane.
