internet & English lessons

Post by lavinia » Sat Feb 28, 2004 2:25 pm

Hello, I’m Lavinia and I’m Italian. I’m doing my training to become a teacher of foreign languages and I think this is a great opportunity (and a good place) to share inforrmation and opinions. At the moment I’m attending a course whose objective is to discuss/criticize/approve etc. the employment of the ICT in a learning context. I’m actually using ICT with some pupils, aged 13-14: we’re creating e-mails addresses (we use www.epals.com) and surfing the internet (only a few sites that I have visited previously): my purpose is to let sts use the English language to communicate with others and to get the information required (we’re working on a topic). I’d like to know about your teaching experiences with ICT and the Internet: have you ever found any difficulty? What kind of?
Hope to hear from you very soon. Ciao, Lavinia
