Hi everyone,

Where I'm at, we've got an English lab set up, and yours truely is the lab facilitator.

At the moment, we are looking for some new software to add to our arsenal .

I would was just wondering if anyone has any programs he would like to share. Experienced ESL/EFL teachers usually have an eye for programs that really teach something amd make a difference.

I welcome Software that teaches any/ all of the four basic skills, vocab, or grammar either seperately or integrated.

The only thing I prefer is that they are web-based, meaning they are installed on a server where the software and student records can be accessed centerally.

Also, programs that are tried and tested are more favoralbe, although anything is welcome.

I would be thankful for any suggestions.

we've got from false beginners up to upper intermediate

LanguEdge software from ETS provides both practice/study and assessment of all 4 skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) that you're looking for in a software program.

Although it is not web-based, it has 3 software components, installed on a network server (LAN) and the PCs that will access/use it.
