TOEFL Software & Online Tools from ETS

Post by mangoman » Tue Jun 03, 2003 5:11 pm

ETS wants to help you and your students get ready for the next-generation TOEFL.

To achieve that goal, ETS (Educational Testing Service), makers of the TOEFL (tm), is currently introducing two new products - LanguEdge & Criterion - to help students, instructors, universities and language schools adequately prepare for the next-generation TOEFL. The TOEFL will measure all 4 communication skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking) via an Internet-based exam; the test (and score results) will be offered to students in July, 2004 and binding results will be mailed to institutions in July, 2005.

These two products are the *only* products to include authentic TOEFL material. LanguEdge is a multimedia instructional software program using real-world language in academic settings to help practice and assess English ability. Criterion is an online essay-writing evaluation service, permitting you to receive immediate feedback and holistic score.

For questions about taking the exam in Mexico, please write to [email protected]. Mexico-based institutions interested in these authorized ETS products should contact me about demos, sales and special offers (ending June 30!). Organizations and institution in other countries should contact their regional ETS representative to investigate these new CALL programs.
