web resources for pronunciation

Can anybody recommend some good free websites for practicing pronunciation?

Or some software that is relatively inexpensive?

Hi Tara

Try the English Maze. It has some excellent listening resources, particularly in the 'Rooms'.

The 'Accent Room' and 'Listening & Speaking Room' are probably the best for what you are looking for.

There are plenty of free resources out there.

Here's a listening lab that can be used by students stand alone or by teachers in their classes. It has questions that follow the listening as well as script with Java pop-ups to help with difficult words/idioms.

Here's a page with (I count) 64 categories of words with pictures, pronunciation, and spellings.

Try those and see how they work out for you.
