Volunteers Needed

Post by jtjohnston » Fri Feb 24, 2006 6:22 am

I'm desperately looking for volunteers, people who can use a microphone, record a *.wav or *.mp3 file and create a telephone message, as if you were leaving a real message on my answering machine. When I return from spring break in 10 days, I want to do some practice exercises with my students.

This is the basic format I'm looking for: http://evaeaston.com/pr/phone-biz.html
It's for my business English class. My high beginner, low-intermediate students will have to fill in the message on a memo pad I faked in MS-Word:

You can address it to anyone, not necessarily "John". You can fake an email address, telephone number, date, time, message, etc.

Please use your natural voice and normal speed of talking. I'm looking for reality and do not care about non-native accents.

I will be super happy to share the results, the activities and the sound files! If you would agree, please email your telephone "message" to: [email protected] - I have a limitless memory quota and can receive large sound files there.

Feel free to ask others. I'm desperate :)

Thank you!

John Taylor-Johnston
