I'm evaluating a number of websites for my students and now I've shortlisted two of them:
http://www.english.wesli.com
http://www.letslearnenglish.co.uk
Of course I need to find one which is highly reliable. Any of you have previous experience and can offer my some advice?
Thank you very much

Most sites with free content are a waste of time, if not money! A site with 50 idioms or 20 grammar exercises is no help unless there is some grading of the language, and some logic to the content that is put up there. It's better to cough up for a site which offers everything. You have to pay for quality!

Hi!
I disagree!
This site is free and very useful.
There are many free sites and sites that cost money and are pretty useless.
One just has to research!

AngusSavory is right to point out that there are many terrible free sites. I remember doing one with my students in a computer lab. I had checked it out, but not all 250 exercises. Seems like half of them had two correct answers or said the wrong answer was correct, what a nightmare.
And it's true that grammar exercises out of context are a throwback to language teaching 50 years ago.
However, there are good free sites. I like
www.eslpartyland.com and mine,
www.eslgo.com for self study.
