HELP TRINITY EXAM: cars and bicycles
I have a class of 25 students. All of them are sitting a Trinity exam in May. One of the topics for Grade 4 is CARS AND BICYCLES.
I've run out of ideas for lessons about this topic!!!!! Help!! Can't find anything on the WEB, and my pupils are still too young to talk about F1 or races and obviously don't have a driving licence!!!!

I'm also preparing students for Trinity exams, although this is my first time and I don't know how to do it or where to start. Can you give me any idea or something? How do you know how much vocabulary is needed at a certain topic?
And finally... Are you sure "cars and bycicles" is a topic for grade 5?? I thought it was for grade 4....

It sounds like they have to answer questions about how they get to a place rather than a lot about how bicycles and cars work, what they look like, how much they cost, etc. and are part of other topics likes holidays.
More "How did you get to Rome?" kind of questions.

I really meant grade 5, I don't know why I wrote grade 4.

This is the first year I have to do it and I don't know where to start, especially taking into account that I've ony been given one hour per week to do it! What I've been doing so far is asking them general questions similar to those in the exam; but for example, as regards the topics I don't know how much vocabulary is needed, is there a list or something published by Trinity or it depends on the decisions of the teacher?

Dear XANA, I don’t think there’s a fixed set of words the students should know at each grade.
As for what I do with my students, I prepare a lesson for each topic. Let’s say we’ve got to talk about holidays: I give them a table with all the word they need for this topic, e.g. kinds of holidays, accommodation, activities etc, then I give them exercises to practice the grammar structures and tenses they need for that grade (e.g. past simple of irregular verbs, comparatives and superlatives), then I hget them to prepare a mini-topic about their best/worst holiday. Each lesson lasts approx. 2 hours. In the next lesson they’ve got to telL Me about their holidays, then we go on with another lesson.
That's all really!
