I'm a new ESL teacher for K-3 students in Illinois. What tips/advice can you share with me? What have you learned that you wish you would have known before?

Anything you could share would be great!

Don't do anything that you don't think is fun or interesting.
Let the students lead in what they want to learn and how quickly they pass from one thing to another.

Get them talking and feeling comfortable with you and the other students in class. Plan fun, engaging and meaningful activities; make it fun for them. What are you currently doing with the students in K-3? Maybe we can exchange ideas?
