Can anyone recommend any 'good' ESL materials for ESL beginners in the 5th and 6th grades?

Our kids just roll their eyes at the 'childish' material that we have in the school.

Hai, It is truly freeing to take responsibility for our children's education. A great website is:

They have information and a home schooling forum.
Good luck

I had a look at the MES site, which appears to be geared to EFL rather than ESL pupils. I am sure they might take to the grammar games.

In Wonder Whizz kids - they have topics like 'Let's discuss Feynman'. A little bit too advanced for primary school kids...

Is there any resources out there that present pupils with the English thatis geared towards accessing the national curriculum?

I ran across a site recently that was claiming to match the British curriculum. I'm not familiar with the name of the curriculum in use but search "that" + ESL or "that" + English worksheets. You should be able to find something.
