I will soon be starting work, teaching children of expats, aged 8-11. The children will be in mixed ability classes and resources are very limited. I will be teaching speaking and listening. I have plenty of ideas for individual lessons and feel comfortable with managing the class but I need some help with curriculum planning. As all the children will be at different levels of English, I would be grateful for ideas on what I should aim to cover in terms of content. I cannot afford to buy a course book and there is none provided by the school. Anyone been in a similar situation?

Oh dear - all those views and still no replies. My start date is looming and I really could do with some help. At the moment I am just planning a few random lessons to suit all abilities and I really don't know how I should be structuring the term's work. As I said, there will be a huge range of ability within each class.Any advice or ideas at all gratefully received no matter how obvious they may sound to you! Thank you.
