Hi everybody, I'm new of the forum.

I'm an English teacher to 6 to 11-year-old kids. I'm going to teache them timetables and some math issues in English, but I'm not sure about the language to be used. How would you read the following? How would you call them? Are they called timetables or not?

we don't call them timetable we call them ; multiplication table.
and for instance while saying 3x5=15 we say ; three times five is equal to fifteen. If you look for in google as multiplication table, u can find a lot of source.

Or we even say, "three times five is fifteen" and leave off the "equals".

When I helped my third grader last year with multiplication and division, I used crayons as manipulatives. Then he could see the problems and hopefully understand how it works. With a whole class, something larger would be more helpful. I would also try to stick to what the kids will learn in their regular math class. Six year olds won't be learning multiplication, so just stick with basic adding and subtraction for them.
