Hi friends!
While teaching the colors in class, a question crossed my mind. For instance; if my jacket is blue, we say my jacket is blue but if the jacket consists of more than one colors should I say; my jacket is blue, green and yellow or my jacket are blue, green and yellow?
It should be the first one but it perplexed me a bit.
thanks...

The subject is key

The subject determines the verb tense. Thus, Strawberries are my favorite food. And, My favorite food is strawberries.

So in your case you would say, my jacket is blue, red and green, or you could say, the colours in my jacket are red, green and blue.
