Private Lessons for an elementary student

Post by stinastina » Mon Oct 27, 2008 1:43 pm

I've just started private lessons for a six year old Chinese boy and his mother wants me to come up with lesson plans for the next three months. He knows how to speak some but he's shy so I don't know how much yet and he doesn't know how to read English which makes choosing a book difficult. Any suggestions?

As a side note I think there should be a forum for private teaching on this website.

I think that is a great idea to have a private tutor forum but there is quite a bit if you go the Search button above and type in tutor and elementary eduction forum.

Here is one site that is frequently mentioned and used:
http://www.mes-english.com/

Have you checked our Dave's cookbook for ideas?
