It looks like I am going to be doing a full week of English with children from the ages of 5 - 10 in August. This will be in a big party-type tent with a 10 minute walk to a green space to do any kind of real running around activities.
I am starting to brainstorm ideas and was hoping someone here could give me some pointers to get me started.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
One week English camp - ages 5 - 10

Dear Runnerbean
If you have a big group of 5 to 10 year olds all mixed up with only you as the teacher then you've got a challenge.
If you've got a small group of mixed ages then I recommend working on two or three plays or skits during the week.
Use games to introduce the vocab and main grammar in the skit, then take a break. After the break come back and start to put the play together for a max of half an hour. Then switch to a different topic, such as a song with actions.
You can find games on this forum in the games section or get a complete book of them ready-made here:
http://www.teachingenglishgames.com/4-12.htm - that book handles all group sizes.
Then for the plays and skits check out this page where you'll find a free one - you'll see it's ideal for beginners and the text is short an repetitive, and can be used for any number of kids - though I recommend a max of 15 to do something of high quality.

Oh and get some great songs to lift the atmosphere, use them as background for games and also learn them with actions. (There are some on my site too - listen on the songs page - I'd say the second CD would be better for your age group as the music appeals to kids up to age ten, whereas CD1 is more babyish).
Then you print out the masks and the kids dress up as the characters in the song and act out the song. You can put that on in a little show to parents at the end of the week.
Good luck with it!
All the best
