I am looking for information about the use of visual representation for input enhancement. I want to know more about how visuals can be used to explain the processes of research and thesis writing.

I am familiar with Tufte, Wurman and Horn's material.
I am now reading Long's article of optical psycholinguistics environments.
Is there something else I can lay my hands on?
