how to remember a quantity of words

i am an english teacher in a high school. how can i get my students to remember the words which are not common but important?

if they wanted to remember some words say all of the words I have just typed get them to make a story using the first letter of each word
i.e. m, s, i, w, t, r, s, w, s, a, o, t, w, i, h, j, t
michelle saw ian working to remember some words, so actively ommitted the words in her jotter today
doesn't need to make sense just needs to be memorable
