best blog software for 8-16 year olds?

Post by joe_doufu » Wed Jun 15, 2005 6:01 am

I want to set up my students with "blogs". I'll bribe them to write something in the blog each day, and make the kids "friend" each other so they can see what the others are up to. Have you done this? What software did you use?

I use Livejournal myself but I'm uncomfortable with that for my kids beacuse I don't want strange adults chatting up my kids. I wouldn't mind them meeting others their own age if they were interested. Is there a safe space for kids online?

PS: they are Korean

did you get any further on this -- as I have the same concern.

mozilla firefox seems to have a good set of chat tips.

and software is much improved.
