Saw this one recently: what is the acceptable plural for "Walkman"?

I favour walkmans, optical mouses, Proudfoots etc but each to their own.

Stephen Pinker is interesting on this and other matters in "Words and Rules"

Have you ever looked at the site www.thelinguistlist ? Go to 'ask a linguist'. Ask linguistic questions, and get a few responses.
