Has anybody tried to use widgets (small applications doing a very specific task) to support class activities?
Not clear what I mean by widget? There is a gallery of widgets that could be used in a class context at:

Not all are about ESL teaching but some of them could be put to good use.

Have you tried using widgets (pix of the day, etc.)?
