tefl course help!

Post by katie_j » Thu Aug 11, 2005 4:03 pm

help!
I've just completed a degree in acting but am looking for a change of scenery and some new challenges and would love to become qualified to teach english as a second/foreign language. I've been searching the internet for course and my mind is some what boggled!
I'm really interested in teaching in asia (especially south korea), but am also visiting my sister in New Zealand and would love to work out there for a bit (but i keep hearing this is v difficult as jobs are so hard to come by!?).
Could anyone offer some advice and general wisdom in terms of the best qualifications and courses about, in terms of course content, value for money and employability on completion. Every site I visit is trying to sell my something different, so a little independant advice on what qualifications employers are really looking would be gratefully recieved.

Thanks

Katie

I'm sorry I don't have any specific information for you, but I know we have a lot of similar posts. Be sure to read some of the posts below yours to see if you get some further information. There is also a Forum for Korea, from what I have heard, that might have information as well. Perhaps someone with more information will give more details.
