Parent Involvement Kindergarten

:lol: Hi There!

I am conducting a research on whether parent involvement in the kindergarten classroom really benefits the students, teachers and parents?
What are the disadvantages of parent involvement? Does too much parent involvement cause a child to regress or become too dependent?
What are your views?
I have found numerous literature on the advantages but not much on the disadvantages of parent involvement, can anyone give me some info of where to find some literature on this topic?
