What are the pros/cons of being an ESL teacher?

I'm about to begin my classes to obtain my MA and Certification in TESOL. I would like to hear others' thoughts on the career path. I am not a teacher now.
What are the pros of the job?
What are the cons?
Any thoughts or advice?

I've yet to observe a class, so in theory I know I want to do this, but I'd like some more insight before I invest the time/money.

I'm curious as to why you are beginning an MA TESOL if you have never observed or taught a class? How do you know this is what you want to do?
