'Sister school' in Africa or Asia for my K-8 school in US?

Post by lfranz » Thu Nov 16, 2006 7:15 pm

I am an ESL teacher in a small town in New York State. I am interested in finding another school, in Africa or Asia, with which we could exchange student projects - being pen pals, making audiotapes, exchanging photos - so that our students would learn about another culture on a person-to-person level.

The other school would benefit by learning about us while practicing their English. The other school could develop projects of their own to mirror ours.

Anybody have any insight into how I could start this happening? Is there a program in place that matches up schools? Anyone know of any schools?

Any help that you could give would really help!
