| Does anyone know the state of the road going from the Thai border to Siem Reap? Drove that road once before about 5 years ago and it was a disaster. I heard it was now paved but I was told the same thing five years ago as well (and it wasn't). |

| The road is fine. IIRC they drive on the right side though, different from Thailand. |

| It is paved, but is still a hair raising journey. There are dips and rises in the road that will wake you from your daze in an instant, and dont expect to travel under 90 mp/h. |

Sounds exhilaratingly dangerous or excitingly terrifying ... nothing like driving the roads of S.E. Asia to get the blood pumping!
Hoping to visit Cambodia sometime in the coming year.
