|

Can someone please tell me if short (1-2 week maximum) summer camps are available in Asia? I'm open to any country. I understand I probably won't make much, if anything, but I'm interested in the experience. I'm fine with all age ranges. |

Short answer is no.
Longer answer is that you can't (realistically) get a visa for such a short work term.
IF you were on the ground at the right time you MIGHT find some camp work for a week or two but it wouldn't even subsidize your airfare (in countries where the monthly wage is $1000 the stipend for a week or two won't be much).
Additionally, the school year in most of Asia (outside of China) does not coincide with the school year in North America. Their school year begins in the spring (March to June) with the longest break being about 6-10 weeks before the start of the new academic year.
In Korea you might find "camp work" in August and the pay is usually about $1000 wk but finding said work is highly competitive (you have to be there) and there are lots of teachers who are there without visa issues looking for those same jobs during their vacation breaks.

Hello Suphanburi,
Thanks for your informative post. I won't be on the ground over there unfortunately, so I guess I'll just have to try vacation some time instead |
