Has anyone heard of this new school starting up soon in JALAN BANI BUALI in SHARQIYYA province? I had an email about it as they are recruiting...
Where is it and has anyone ever worked in this particular region/area?
Appreciated! |

I have only just spotted your post. Whilst I don't know anything about this particular school, I am fairly familiar with the area which is on the edge of the Sharquiya sands and about 55 miles from Sur, about 90 minutes away.
Jalan Bani Bu Ali is a small conservative commercial town which is increasingly becoming a tourist stopping off point on the way to the sands. I remember -it was a year ago- the traditional watch towers, the forts, the suq and the lovely decorated metal doors. I stayed at the Al Dabi Tourist motel which was basic but OK.
I would imagine that any school would probably be primarily for the many Indian workers in the area or Omanis unable to pay for more 'international' schools in Sur itself or Muscat which is 150 km away. I may be proved wrong of course.... |
