is there any kind soul out there who would post a list of moderatly recommended schools with their emails and phones? i know that only the bad schools will answer but still. i've been to the yellow pages, but it's somewhat hard to separate the good schools from the bad, being that i am doing it from here, mexico. thanks. also, is there a better month to come, june or august? thanks again. |

Go to Job Informatioun Journal. A person who lived and taught in Chile a few years ago, put together a list of English language schools in Santiago. In addition, he put his thoughts on each of them.
I taught at English First and enjoyed my time. They are probably looking for teachers. It's highly likely you won't be offered a contract, but they will give you hours if you are qualified and/or have teaching experience. |

You'll really have to look if you want to find the best jobs. Many schools pay sh*t because so many people don't look around or feel trapped by a contract. The truth is no one is trapped and it's easy to switch schools. Visas are easy to get and if you just spend some time looking around you'll find a descent place to work. Of course, the best jobs will want qualified people working for them with ample experience.
Good luck finding a descent job if you don't have these. But like I said there are plenty of sh*ty jobs for the rest of you.
At the moment Grants English is looking for qualified people.
Curtis English is also looking for less qualified people.
I wouldn't recomend bothering either one of them with lots of emails and questions. Instead just go in and talk to Nick (Joanne) or Brent at their respective schools. |

Hi koshechka!
I have a list of schools, but I'm not sure how good they! But it would be a start! That's if you still need it, since your post is WAY back!
Let me know!
Drop me an email!
(If I only knew how to post this list without making it so long)
Chao! |
