Hi there.

I encountered a question in a TOEIC preparation book.

Q: You were engaged when you bought the car, right?
A: Yes, it's in the cage by the cart.

The "it" in the second sentence obviously represents the car he/she bought when he/she were engaged.
The question is that what the "cage" and "cart" mean in this context.

Does the cage mean like a small parking space?
And means that the cage was near the cart(shopping cart?)?

I'm stuck in this and unable to proceed.

Please help me understand this.
