I posted a couple of messages a while back bemoaning the inefficiency of the whole recruitment process. Anyway, recently heard from the EMB asking for more paper. Now, I was expecting this, as I had heard they have a fixation about pieces of paper but some of the paper they want, such as transcripts etc are more or less impossible to get hold of. My degree is from pre-computer days and records of marks etc just don't exist anymore. I do have my certificates etc. My question is this, does this mean that they will not send my name to schools for possible appointment without having these papers in hand, or does it just mean that they will assess me lower on the salary scale until they get them (or not), but still put me forward for consideration by schools. Basically, am I screwed without these papers? |

You need a letter from that university stating that the marks do not exist however you graduated from, blah, blah, blah, dates, stamps and .....
They are interested. send them a letter stating thay are on the way and send the contract!!!

'AKPO', it may well seem like that, but in fact they are only fixated on what those "pieces of paper" are said to represent. Anyway, in answer to your question, all you will have to do is to establish what exactly they will accept as proof of study and graduation, and then to supply that. |

Try making a statutory declaration or similar witnessed statement of the facts. |

Do as the others have said. I was in a similar position except that my Year One marks were missing. The university wrote a declaration to that fact and 'chopped' it. That was enough. They want to see what percentage of your course was English.
Good luck |
