|

One place says you can't be younger than 26 years old, while another says 22.
What is the minimum age limit for a KSA Employment Visa (and/or has it been changed since previous years)?
I can't seem to find it, or may have skipped over it...if you happen to know, please do share!
Thank you! |

A perfect introduction to how things work in the Kingdom... could be either... could be both... could be neither... and no one here knows any more than you and your two sources, at least for sure. And tomorrow's answer could be different from today... but it probably depends on the usual answer... the wasta of the employer.

I've heard from two sources that it's 27. So if you're 26 and below, you don't make the cut-off. But 27 and above, you're fine. |

Thank you, both, for your replies!
One of my sources said the minimum age was updated relatively recently to 26/27, but, as VS stated--and like the passport issue, I presume--, it's more likely at the discretion of one's employer. |

It has nothing to do with your employer. It is about the Saudi Arabian consulate in your country. Recruiters that are notorious for employing teachers on business visas now ask candidates to be aged 27 or over. The sample size is large enough to warrant an assumption. My understanding is that while you need to be 27 or older to qualify for a business visa, the rule has not changed for work visas (i.e. 22). But I would give a call to the consulate in your country to double check. Let us know as well! |

Thank you Richard62! I guess that's actually a good thing for me...now I don't have to worry about being brought over on a business visa (from the boards, I've learned that creates problems when applying for the iqama). |

Dear vva,
" . . . I've learned that creates problems when applying for the iqama)."
That's true - the biggest problem being that it's impossible to apply for an iqama if you're there on a business visa.
