I'm moving to Chongqing soon, and I'm wondering what other China experts think of this offer for a prepaid Sim card:

my parents are pushing me to get this before I leave and put it in my current phone, so that they can call me cheap (however, I don't really WANT them to call me, so I'm kinda looking for an excuse not to get it ).
I'm wondering how a plan like this compares, price-wise, to simply getting a phone set up there (which I know is cheap) and then making international calls. Since this Sim Card service seems marketed more toward vacationers than expats, it could get very expensive after a while. |
