But which of these outfits is the least worst option?
(and anyone know if you can get SKIMMED Milk powder anywhere, I've only seen 25% fat in Auchan?) |

It depends on who you ask-even more so if they have had either negative or positive experiences at either of them?In my mind, there is no easy way to go to work in Russia, earn good money and avoid all the hassle you can read about in this forum....certainly in EFL teaching.A possible exception might be if you have the credentials and experience to get into an international secondary school or primary school that has expat kids as well as Russians and pays top rates and conditions-but you have to be good enough to meet their standards.Of course if you have a suitable professional qualification in another profession, perhaps law, finance etc. you might get a short term contract with a foreign firm and once again, these pay top conditions, including what they call'hardship compensation' for you agreeing to live and work in what they consider to be a difficult environment etc!Try asking a Russian firm to pay you for that!!
Overall, there are a few private language firms who pay well and whose conditions are better than others but they are a minority and the rest are just mediocre-or to be avoided like the plague! |
