Does anyone know anything about Dalian Vocational and Technical College? (Obviously) I've been offered a job there, and would like to know how it was/is? Thanks heaps! |

Like every job in Dalian these days you need to know where the campus is located.
Near the downtown or south along the peninsula to Lushun?
Having got that straight, find out where your accommodation is in relation to the classrooms.
From the website/Google map it looks reasonably near the downtown but didn't recognise the school from my time in Dalian.
If they offer a 3 year associate degree then they're only one step off a uni. From my experience vocational students are great particularly if they are going into public facing jobs like the hospitality industries.
Look at the thread 'job offer checklist' to get a set of questions to ask. |

Is that checklist your work? Brilliant! I just saved it as a draft in my email for future use. Thanks for this and that. I shall check the Google map about the school's location. |

Ah, there are five locations on Google map of various possibilities, but they are all somewhere around the airport, and I am told 'my' campus is 20 minutes from the airport, with a view of the ocean from the faculty office. How's that? |

Well the airport is not close in but you only use it 2 or 3 times a year.
The biggie for me is how far do you have to commute morning and after school and can you get into town on weekends or on half days off without breaking the bank.
Best
