Hello everyone,

I've read dozens and dozens of posts in this forum to aquaint myself with teaching in Turkey. I was surprised at the number of conflicting views, but I guess everyone's experiences are what they are.

Anyway, I wanted to ask people who either work or have worked for a UNIVERSITY in Turkey what my prospects are of finding a decent, legit job at a reputable uni with having a DELTA, an MBA, an Oral Examiner for Cambridge, 7 years experience and currently being the DoS/Academic Manager for a school in Ukraine.

Thank you for your help.

Your chances are very good - you're more qualified than the vast majority of your competition. You're practically guaranteed a decent job; however, whether that offer is just decent or is actually good depends on a number of factors.

Basically, there are a handful of comparatively high quality unis in Turkey, and your chances for favorable employment depend on which ones are recruiting and what they're offering for next year. The really good jobs will usually go to people who have been around for awhile, and any leftovers will open up to newcomers (even if they are much more qualified). Unis should start recruiting soon - why don't you send around your CV and see who offers you an interview?
