Anyone been able to get a police clearance certificate (or whatever it is called here) for time spent in China. If so, how did you do it? I have been to the local Lianyungang police station with an interpreter, but he was told they hadn't done this before and couldn't help. Ran into a brick wall in Nanjing, where my employer has its head office, too.
Without a police clearance that covers my time in China I won't be able to renew my teacher registration and teach in New Zealand again. So this is really important. Other registered/certified school teachers must have done it. So please tell me how. |

Or your nearest NZ consulate in China. Somebody there might know what to do. |

Thanks for those links. I think we are making some progress. I have discovered that I will have to get separate certificates of no conviction from the different towns I have worked in. They then have to be taken into a certification office and notarised translation is made. Certificates of good conduct from the schools are also required. Not sure if the certificate of contract completion will suffice. They really make heavy weather of all this ... . |

Apparently from one of those websites, if you have been in China "temporarily" on a L or F visa, the PSB do not / will not / can not issue police clearances.
So if you have been here for one or two years on a L or F visa and need a police clearance, you are pretty much stuffed! |

I was talking in general, considering many foreigners in China are on F or L visas, my comments were not directed towards the OP |
