Sorry... I'm confused... what does this have to do with ARAMCO or Saudi or even the Middle East?

Field supervisor in Malaysia? I don't think many members here are job searching in that area or field.

Exactly my point.

I was just putting this here as a warning to all. I got this from someone who said that I had applied for their position on-line. I do not recall applying for this at all.

Although irrelevant I do believe it still gains some importance since it is in the petroleum industry.

Interestingly... thus far almost all of the scam TEFL or international school jobs are for the Emirates... specifically Dubai. We've had dozens of them on that branch.

Yes Yes I'm a newbie on here!

Been reading all the info for a long time now; some useful and some completely time wasting! Nothing new for any forum but it's strange that the feeling I get from so many posts is this completely negative bullshout attitude that so shouts, 'I'm old and wasted and so completely cynical about absolutely everything and everyone, but I'm actually trying to help you from losing your mind, your money, your wife, your life, your...whatever' Crying or Very sad .

'Some' of you seem to have retired from teaching-hopefully so, as the level of cynicism should hopefully mean you have wandered to pastures new and grey and are far removed from education of any sort.

My opportunities were still there, nay, they multiplied tenfold; but the strength and youth to cope with them began to fail, and to need eking out with the shifty cunning of experience.- George Bernard Shaw

Anyway, you can take from this what you want to hear but some of you should remember that advice is a precious commodity while scornful negativity belongs in the pits of the bloody beetroot cage, stained forever with a juggling angst that takes up too much sentiment to mention any further.

On the other hand however I'd like to add that at my age I should have retired long ago, but heh I'm not quite as cynical as one ought to be.

Remove yourself from 1983 and see you on the other side...

Rolling Eyes

woops nearly forgot to roll my eyes at myself there...

Oh yeh, sorry, I almost forgot to say that after all the previous messages on this thread, ARAMCO are hiring directly, legitimately and most likely will not steal your money from your bank account should they ask to pay for your travel to an interview in London.

NO specialisms!!
ITC instructor is teaching large classes of unmotivated students who want to play with mobile phones and/or sleep!! generally low level - though some speak very well!! Everybody passes!! therefore they have no motivation to work!! - and they know this!! It is a way of getting Saudi youth off the unemployment lines!
After they leave ITC they expect a life of promotion, zero English at work and drinking tea all day long!!!
YOU WILL NOT ENJOY work!!! management is corrupt - students pass and promotion goes to certain nationalities etc., irrespective of ability!!!
If you come, COME because you NEED (not want) the money! With your qualifications and background, I would ask, "WHY!!!!!!??????"

ITC is Industrial Training Centre i.e. get trainees ready for work in Saudi Aramco.
Reality is teaching low level, large classes (approx 18-22 normal), unmotivated students. Virtually ALL students pass every level - therefore at the top-end there are still trainees who speak virtually no English.
In practice, job is to stop students sleeping, playing on mobile phones etc. little or NO support from admin who always support students over teachers.

Delta Force? Or will a Ranger do?

What if he is a former NCO, went to Cambridge and is 45 and 3/4s?

PS. I don't believe a word Tom says.
