Couldn't resist making a reply - without looking like a shill, I do work for a LL franchise, in Samara, and things here aren't so bad. Better than Moscow, at least in my experience; 5 years here so far, and I have to say that some of the info you're posting is a bit out of date, and coloured. Could be better of course, as you say, but here it's a lot harder slog to make it on your own. If anyone's interested in proper info, PM me, and I'll be happy to lend you all the gory details  |

I also put in a shift at LL Samara. A decent school in an interesting city. I miss it.
Dropped by at Moscow LL for a while on the way back home. Seemed the teachers were happy enough, and the big bossman seemed ok.
Though repeating what a few others have said. Your FT salary is not the most important thing; it's the visa and the hours. Privates are to be found, and they bring in double+ than your hourly rate at the school. |
