The visa agents told me it will take about 3 days after I lodge all documents to issue the visa, which I think they said would be online. I can't explain it, but that's what they said.

The major Saudi University that sent me to country A to get my visa has found a new way to create chaos. there is only one visa service in country A. It is the only authorized place to process a visa. The embassy in country A only acts through this agency. After being prodded repeatedly to talk to the visa agency in country A, the university did so. However, they also decided to talk to a visa service in country B. The rules for obtaining a Saudi visa are different in country A and country B.
There is no sane reason to contact a visa service in country B.
Although I have been told the last page I require has been completed, I do not know where they will send this page or when.

Each embassy apparently interprets the visa rules based on their own variations of the criteria set by the government.

Only 20 days after they were notified that the last vital form was incorrect, the major Saudi university said via Skype that they will find out how to correct their mistake today.

That's funny. I'm finding the lapse in communication and tardiness in response to emails to be impressive. Considering an email takes seconds to be delivered!! Someone must be pretty over-worked or efficiency isn't in their vocabulary Wink

logic is not in their vocabulary

Adam Smith, another Scott, had logic and all efficiency derived from that.

The major Saudi University sent me the needed attachment last night. I brought it to the visa service today. Instead of obtaining a legal document from the ministry of labor, they wrote in the needed changes on the original document and added the university stamp. The document is illegal and cannot be used.

All of the correct documents finally arrived. I brought them to the visa service on 10 May. The webpage of the visa service says that a work visa will be issued in 1 to 3 days after the file is complete. Nothing has happened.

Slowly but surely. Have you been given a start date?

Dear rainbowprof,

Slowly, surely - "but surely" may be too optimistic.

Regards,
John
