Does anyone know how to secure a contract in Europe that starts in January???

I know the academic year is from Sept - June but we want to start in January (right in the middle of Winter) We are currently working and our current contracts don't finish till December.

Any help??

Where, exactly, are you planning on going? What sort of school do you want to work for?

Private language schools tend to have high turn-over rates, so even if they did all of their hiring for a September start, they could still have some emergency vacancies. Also, a lot of private language schools teach business clients, who don't necessarily follow the academic school year. So you should still be able to find jobs.

Europe is a large and diverse place ! Finland ? Malta ? Ireland ? The Ukraine ? Turkey ?

You have to be a bit more specific. Language schools do not always run the show on the basis of the academic year

Thanks for your help Denise Smile We don't mind where we work, as long as it's Europe! We've heard there's still a fair bit of work in Poland, Czech and Hungary but a friend recently suggested England!! We don't seem to be having much luck in western Europe though...
