The following posts are from the above teacher. Next month it'll be your school. He is getting good at this:

ORANGEWOOD INSTITUTE is an English training center in Chao Yang district of Beijing. Same warning as for most other English training businesses. Lousy pay, lies, and manipulation.

This group places ESL teachers in China. I was placed at a school in Beijing with a twelve month contract. Standard deal; furnished apartment, salary, food, etc.

KOREAN INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL IN BEIJING
CHANGPING DISTRICT, HUI LONG GUAN

Discrimination - Threats - Dictatorship -

This school has been operating for about 4 years. Located in North Beijing they teach Korean children, kindergarden to high school. I have been working there (under contract) for just under one month. In that time the school has violdated its contract and have shown to have lied about the work situation at the school.

There are more.

Read this guy's posts. An object lesson in the reality that some people should stay away from China.

Why did he have so many negative experiences ? Is he maybe a negative person ?

Why don't you check all his claims, then Kimo? You might find that he's right and just can't accept the low quality of schools that some losers accept.

Yeah, but Rickster, don't forget - it's so much more rewarding being underpaid, discriminated against and abused in an "exotic" country like China. Besides, back home, all the apartment buildings have elevators and almost everyone covers their mouths when they sneeze and cough. Where's the fun in that?

What I don't understand is why somebody with so many bad experiences would continue to work here. This person must either be terribly unlucky, or impossibly picky.

This guy may have a point, but he also invalidates it by being over-demanding and oversensitive.
What, pray, is "racist" in that school's policy?
How did he know the custodian didn't know the pipe in his flat was clogged?

Lastly, but most importantly: it is a contravention of the relevant law to have one's "girlfriend" or any other unmarried dame stay with a guy on school premises.
Not that I am totally innocent - but this is a law that was rigorously enforced until a few years ago! What's so bizarre about it? I even lived in a Western country for a time where premarital and extramarital sex were strictly banned and the police were empowered to raid suspects' homes and to "check the temperature of the bed" (probably two bodies giving off 70-odd centigrade). WHy then should this go unregulated in the one-child-per-married couple China???
You can still be booted out of the country for breaking this law! The very act is considered "prostitution".
