I am trying to find someone currently teaching at the Kansai Gaidai University, in order to hear more about the usual deadlines in the hiring process and the general atmosphere there. I sent my application package a while ago and received no definite answer whatsoever - and I wonder why, since it is almost the end of May. They seem to be looking for a new Director of English Language Programmes, which probably has to do with this rather slow feedback from them. Should I hold my breath, or...
What do you think - which candidates get contacted first, the finalists or the toss-outs?

I applied last year and sent in all the interview requirements. I made my video introduction on my laptop and it wasnt the best quality......and I think that had something to do with the "Thanks, but no thanks" Could have been my age also......Im 44

Ive given up on a decent university job in Japan and am heading to work at Aramco in KSA. No pretty Japanese girls or sake/shouchu, but at 61k GBP tax free I can save 70k aud a year......and I certainly cant do that in Japan.
